Controller issues w/ steam link
I have also been having a problem, though instead of it being analog delay, it's straight up controller connectivity problems. I normally have both my steam controller and my PS4 controller plugged in, but for some reason the steam controller/dongle is not recognized when plugged into the steam link. Furthermore, the PS4 controller allows me to move around in big picture mode from the steam link, but when I go to start a game, it doesn't allow me to change any of the configs to play certain games. While this is okay for most controller supported games, this makes me unable to play games that require remapping such as keyboard recommended games. I went to controller settings in order to try and fix the issue, but my PS4 isn't recognized as a controller, instead it's listed as a "X input controller". Also, normally there'd be a tab below the "your game" tab called "manage game" where I could change my inputs, but as no controller is detected, the "Steam Controller" options are not visible. Everything works fine when plugged into my PC, but for some reason nothing is fully detected when plugged into the steam link. Everything was fine before the patch, so I suspect that this recent patch is the culprit. Anyone else in a similar boat?

Given the number of recent reports of controller issues - yes there was an update somewhere in the last few weeks that introduced a bug with many users controllers.

I'm having this problem as well. Controller works fine in Big Picture Mode menus, but stops working as soon as a game loads up.

So, I don't know if this will apply to anyone else, but it turns out that my link WASN'T updated and was at build 492 or something. The reason it wasn't updating was because it was plugged into ethernet, and for SOME reason it wasn't installing updates while connected that way. So, all I did was unplug the ethernet, let it download the updates wirelessly, and then the problems were fixed. I don't know if this will help anyone else, as it could be a similar problem caused by a different source. But, it's how I solved my issues so if it helps someone else, then that's good!
