Same issue here. Received my Steam Link & Controller bundle today and set it up. Everything works so far: Controller works on host computer and on Steam Link, connecting from Steam Link to host
computer via In-Home Streaming also works, but as soon as I start streaming the controller input does not get streamed from the Link to the host computer although "Input Streaming" is enabled in Steam Link

seem to grow as Valve add support for more controllers. Valve have added many controllers to Steam Input in 2018.

I have never ever spent as much time troubleshooting and applying workarounds or
Valve devs being able to reproduce. If Valve devs can not reproduce they simply can not fix.

For some reason, the Steam Link puts the controller into Desktop Mode unless you are running a Steam game. THe controller is sending mouse inputs with the analogs
isn't in Desktop Mode and can be used in-game/app/emu just as a normal 360 Controller..

There are issues with some (very few) games/apps which do not recognise the controller as 360 controller like this

Steam root is not android root.

Steam client is just a browser, basically. A native android Steam client could fix many issues Valve are trying too workaround.

controllers since late last year they have broken Gamestream and Steam Input support for Shield Controller.

I can not use either Steam Link App nor Gamestream reliably because of Steam Input bugs preventing

Everything works fine in desktop mode (minimizing the big Picture) but ONLY when I open the Google Chrome, all the input periperials do not respond (the mouse moves, but
nothing happends doing click or right click). the keyboard and the controller have the same problem.

I tried to set Chrome without any extension or with the developer mode disable, but the problem stills

was whether or not said controller would work with the Steam Link. The answer is: it depends. The Xbox version is known to have issues with mising buttons when used with the PC. The PS3/4 version IS
controllers or input devices.
