Any word on why games from the Microsoft store added to steam as non-steam games don't recognize controllers ?

This happens on both Android and iOS so I believe it's an issue with Windows. Maybe it
recognize as a mouse and keyboard input.

Games that are added as non-steam games from origin, Uplay, and Gog work just fine with controllers for reference.

So in troubleshooting using the Steam Controller on my ASUS Chromebook Flip C302C the issues I have noticed are:

1. Turning on the Steam Controller and pairing to the chromebook from the last
session connects for about a minute.
2. After you start the Steam Link App and see the status of the Streaming PC, Controller, and Connection after you input the code and get to PC the controller turns off

Just came here to report that I also have issues with PS3 controller in AC origins / odyssey exactly as described by paul.

I believe this is fixed in the next Steam client beta update.

The screen shot does not even show what you are talking about. I am also having the same issue. My 360 wired controller wont even light up when plugged into my steam link
