Look up those four instruments, the pipa and ruan are both fairly close to the banjo, the guzheng and erhu are more like...harp meets violin, with the guzheng being more pluck sound and erhu being fairly close to a violin or viola, although I know both can be played with a bow, strum or pluck. Some of them have been in use for a very, very long time (the guzheng I believe is over 2k years old, and the erhu might be as old as 3.5k) so there is a LOT of music from them. The other two aren't as old, but still over 1.5k in its current form.
