Thoughts on the track editor
EDIT: Okay I take back the zoom comment! must have been a bug!

Okay, so, I am glad it finally arrived! I do have a few things that I would like to see changed however. First: ZOOM! Let me zoom as close as possible to the terrain, trying to figure out scaling is such a pain only being able to zoom a little bit. Second: Mappable keys, I almost always use middle mouse button for rotating a camera, alt isnt bad, but would like to be able to change it.

Using the RC editor before, it obviously has the same limitations and issues. Now I am still going to create a sample track just to see what is the good and bad parts, but for now, the main issue for me is the zoom. Thanks a lot for getting it out! I always feel user content will keep a game alive for so much longer. You have atleast one more sale from my friend ;)

Thanks for the comments. it def helps to hear what other people like and dont. You can hold Left shift to Zoom 10x. I also find myself "tacking" around the screen instead of zooming. or I even put in a few extra track objects in strategic places to then highlight and then focus on them with the F Key. Thats how I "move" large distances for now. I might just add a move camera left and right axis.

- I am working on adding remappable keys for all the Track editor controls too (for D Series and RC Sim 2). Right now the entire track editor is mainly controlled through the mouse and keyboard and not the new controller system.

- I plan on adding some more features to the track editor in the future BUT step one was to get the title working as I had a ton of old problems with the old version. Now we can start to build on this foundation.

Def in the pipeline though is a undo/redo feature, camera controls (like orthographic and Perspective views) and some naming system to tell what textures are what. ie; Mud, sand, grass etc...
