Uh, Nekopara already has like 6 games on Steam and there are about a billion other sexual games and VNs. Every once in a while one will fail review but it’s hardly the norm. “Hyperprudes” is kind of ridiculous.
I would assume they got enough pushback from upset users and finally decided to do their damn job for once.

Should be noted that previous games were allowed to host their R18+ patches right on steam, where as here you need to get it from a 3rd party. Looks like they didn't want to risk getting removed for the imouto-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Think the patches were added to Steam later , had to get my patches from Denpasoft

The "patches" used to be DLC (available on steam), but at some point steam changed their R18 policy and completely removed them. None of the old DLC can be purchased anymore (but downloaded if previously purchased).
Vol.4 (appearing after this change) never had the patch/DLC on steam, and was thus the first one getting a full release on denpasoft, as well as the seperate patch.

I have no clue what you are talking about... The patches for volumes 1-3 are still AVAILABLE on Steam. I just checked. You can buy them. They are on discount, even! Might finally get them (always got patches elsewhere) plus all the soundtracks and artbooks just to support NEKOWORKs.

These patches were added retroactively around 2018 when Steam officially started allowing adult content. Volume 4 came later and the DLC for that one was denied.
As for your claim of vol.4 being the first one to get a full release on denpasoft... uhhh, no? All the volumes are there, full and uncut. Same on DLsite :cocochan2:
