Missing CGs are the SFW ones

To elaborate on what Plastic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ said... since you have the patch, ever since vol. 4 the game asks you when you are about to witness PEAK whether you are "playing alone" or "there are others in the room" with you. Picking former gives you the spicy content restored with the patch, while choosing the latter gives you a SFW miniscene as an alternative. Those should be your missing CGs.

I'm curious, since I don't have the censored version: have they still done the same thing as in Vol. 4, where they don't include even the SFW alternative in the censored version?

Vol 4 should give you a choice even in uncut version: I bought After on DLSite and it still gave me a choice so I assume it was the same in 4

Wait, are you saying that in vol. 4, in the CENSORED version, there are no SFW scenes? That frankly doesn't make much sense - since vol. 4 is the first one to have both NSFW and SFW scenes that you simply choose between which should play. NEKOWORKs started doing this since they've been porting the previous volumes to consoles and they had to create alternate scenes instead of the classic fade to black. In fact, they promised YEARS ago to update volumes 1-3 on PC to include the SFW scenes from the console version as an alternative option - yet we have sadly gotten nothing.

Now, I do NOT have a censored version of any of the Nekopara games (but I reckon all I'd have to do would be to remove the "adult.xp3" file) but this is how it should work:

If you have the ALL AGES version
-> you get nothing in volumes 1-3.
-> in volume 4 and After, you ONLY get the SFW scenes (there shouldn't even be any choice, logically)

If you have the UNCUT version or PATCHED all ages version
-> you get the NSFW scenes in volumes 1-3
-> in volume 4 and After, you get a black screen with two choices, one leads to the SFW scene and the other to the NSFW one - you need to see both to complete your CG gallery

That's pretty much it.

Not in the way we're talking about. None of the stuff you see with "There are other people around you" is there.

Of course, how could I forget? (Goes and messes around with it...) So, uh... yeah. Same thing. Actually, at least one H-scene has no alternative, making the censored version play the same there. But that aside, even some material near one or more of these is removed. (Specifically, before the scene where Kashou does it with Shigure and Fraise, the kissing leading up to it is gone in the censored version. There may be more, but I haven't finished After yet.)

That is SO strange. Those SFW scenes started being a thing because they put them in the console versions... but they are missing in the ALL-AGES version of volume 4 on PC? So weird! Not like I care that much, I got all the good stuff.

I was wondering about that scene with the threeway kissing. I DID think to myself "damn, ALL of that is in the censored version? Nice" Alas. I did also notice that the very first "mini" scene in After Fraise playing with herself while getting instructions from Shigure had NO SFW alternative.

Honestly, now I GOTTA look up someone playing volume 4 and After censored to see for myself just how stupid the censorship is LMAO
