Controller Companion "Disconnected"
Preface before you guys say the same thing as the pinned post.
1. I have a legit 360 controller
2. I have a legit 360 windows reciever
3. The controller is enabled and on

Now, every time I launch CC from Steam, it says "launching" and then nothing happens. I've also gone in through Windows and launched it that way to the same effect. When looking at the little icon in the task tray (I had it set to launch when Windows launched) it says, "Controller Companion (disconnected)".

I've tried restarting, I've tried launching as admin, I've tried pretty much everything I can think of and it still doesn't work. Any insight?

A very basic idea i know, but have you tried reinstalling Controller Companion?

Just wanted to butt in and say that reinstalling helped me with my problem just now. I had just added an Xbox One wireless adapter to my downstairs computer and the program wasn't detecting my controller even though my games were just fine. Re-installing did the trick. Glad I found this post.

WOuld like to see a simpletons guide to make this work. I have a genuine Xbox One controller and it is connected to the PC by Bluetooth, and does work in the Xbox app for PC. However the CC does not show it connected. Any help would be great, as I wouldn't mind being able to play my Neverwinter character when the kids are on the Xbox...

Hi everyone!
Facing the same issue.
Currently on W10.
Silly question, how do I uninstall this programme?

Can I delete the file straight away from the local drive or it is recommended to delete it through Window Apps?

using Windows 11 for joystick "Extreme 3D Pro," I heard this app could help my issue of it not being compatible with Windows 11, but Companion Controller is showing as disconnected. Re-install did not fix the issue.
