this vs big picture mode
Is there any advantage using this program over big picture mode?

some older games work better with this than the Steam UI

All.
I can control not only games but the windows when Im using the PC on the TV. The Big Picture is made for gaming while this App permit you control everything with the customization of buttons, and macros.
I think, even for streaming is good because you can assign the OBS shortcuts for the Controller profile and quicly do action.
