So.. long before TinyBuild got around to re-adding the OST DLC for the remastered version of the game I created a "bootleg" soundtrack by ripping the audio tracks from the game. It wasn't perfect.. but it let me listen to the OST since it wasn't available for purchase at the time.

I just bought the DLC, and I was quick to peek in there and see what was different between the bootleg, the Original OST, and the NMTTE OST extension.. Surprisingly.. some tracks are in my bootleg that aren't in either!

The bootleg OST I ripped from the game files has 24 tracks. The original OST has 18, and NMTTE adds 14. There is some overlap between the original OST and NMTTE, 17 songs in common between the bootleg and the original OST, as well as a couple songs in common between the bootleg and NMTTE.. So, surprisingly, six of the tracks in the ripped OST are missing from the original + NMTTE soundtracks. Specifically,

1) A Variation on the main theme, "No Time to Explain" used in the level select screen.
2) The first Crab Boss theme.
3) The alien spaceship theme (not the boss, but the level theme).
4) The gopher boss theme.
5) Art game universe.
6) "Unknown", a strange, short tune that isn't found anywhere in the playable game, but was shipped with the assets. (It might be in the legacy version? I don't know for sure as I haven't had a chance to play it yet.)

Just thought this was interesting.. I thought I was going to throw out the bootleg after finally getting the official soundtrack(s).. but.. I've come to like those other tracks.. and so I think I might keep it in my library, as well, so that I can enjoy it alongside the official releases and the extended soundtrack.
