Virtual Desktop

Mirror full desktop to the headset like a VR180 video?
(FYI: I created a similar discussion before but it was removed since I mentioned "using Quest" in the post; I meant using Quest wired to my PC running the Steam version, not the native Quest version. But anyway I won't mention that in this post just to get this deleted again.)

I'm trying to play Zelda BotW VR mode on my headset (with Ryujinx emulating the game). The video output from the game is similar to a VR180 video - check this Digital Foundry video for a reference: (timestamp 3:30)

But if I use the SBS mode in VD, it simply puts the game inside a flat screen in the virtual environment (e.g. the theater screen) and I couldn't find an option to stream my full desktop screen just like a VR180 video to the headset. Is there such function in VD right now? Or if the developers could consider adding it?

Thanks

It used to be possible to do this in the early Oculus SDKs but they removed it
Thanks @ggodin for the reply. Since the game looks just like a VR180 video, and VD supports playing VR180 video just fine, is it possible to merge the screen capture and the video player features to achieve this? It feels technically possible, but I won't be surprised if there are some software burdens that block this from happening.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
