SOLUTION: Official WiiU Adapter Problems
If you're having trouble getting your official WiiU adapter to work then this is the thread for you. Since the official WiiU adapter doesn't have a PC mode you'll need some additional drivers to get it working. Our driver of choice is Massive's gamecube adapter driver: http://m4sv.com/page/wii-u-gcn-usb-driver

Here are step by step instructions for setting this up as well as using the application with Rivals. There is also a section on calibration and troubleshooting you may find helpful below the installation procedure:

Please post any problems you have in this thread so we can try to find a solution.

The last patch I could play ROA with my controller was 1.2.5 The only way I can play now with the official gamecube adapter is if I select 1.2.5 beta in the manage game tab of Steam. I'm unsure if this has been addressed and I havent seen it in which case I apologize for the nagging but I'm unsure what to do.

vJoy does not finish installing. The bar fills up all of the way, but doesn't finish. The message that shows is: Installing vJoy device (May take up to 5 minutes)
When I close the vJoy installation using task manager the GCNadapter setup finishes. When I run GCNUSBFeeder.exe nothing shows up. The only proof that something happened is that Wii U Gamecube USB Adapter Feeder shows up under background processes in task manager.

I was trying again and vJoy successfully installed this time, I don't know why it worked this time, but this part still happened.

For some reason it just doesn't work with unofficial adapter anymore. It just isn't recognizing my controller. I've tried unplugging it and replugging it, changing the port, changing the controller, nothing works.

Nevermind, apparently I needed to go into properties and set "Steam Input Per-Game Setting" to "Forced Off". I have no idea what that means, but it worked when I did it, so if anyone ever has that problem, try doing that.
