Paint It Back starts up very slowly
This is entirely about the game starting, not the gameplay. The game plays fine once I'm in, but it's getting to that point that's the problem.

The first time I load up Paint It Back (or any Unity-based game), it starts up very quickly. However, if I close PIB and then attempt to start up a Unity-based game (which includes PIB), it can literally take up to a minute or so for the game to launch.

I've watched it in Task Manager, and the process starts off low on the list (when the list is adjusted to show most memory usage at the top and least at the bottom) and slowly climbs up. Once it finally gets to the top position, the game will appear in Task Manager's application list (it won't show up in the application list until then) and actually load up.

This problem persists until I've rebooted the computer, in which case the same thing will happen again if/when I start a Unity-based game.

This problem has heppened to both my computer and my wife's computer. Our machines are WAY beyond the recommended specs for PIB (and any Unity-based game either of us own), so it's not as if our computers can't handle the game.

My specs:
Windows 7 Pro w/SP1
i7-4770 (3.4 GHz)
16 GB of RAM
GeForce GTX 1070 (8 GB of VRAM)

My wife's specs:
Windows 7 Pro w/SP1
i7-4790 (4 GHz)
16 GB of RAM
GeForce GTX 970 (4 GB of VRAM)

There's nothing wrong with our operating systems (no errors, nothing unusual shows up in Event Viewer, and our OSes work as expected with every other program, game or not) or hard drives, which we've checked and defragged.

We have barely anything running at startup (MSCONFIG has only four items present, all of which are necessary to load up when Windows starts), and we've even told our anti-virus to ignore PIB.

RAM usage is fine (both before the game is loaded and after) and none of our components are overheating. We've checked that.

If we load up a game that doesn't use Unity (Unreal, CryEngine, Frostbite, etc), the game starts up quickly each and every time. It's just Unity-based games that are the problem.

Weird problem. I'll need to see if this is a known problem to the Unity developers and if there's a fix.

Thanks for checking this out! I'm still doing some troubleshooting right now, so if I find anything else, I'll let you know!
