stuck on "subscribing"
Hi, whenever I go into the workshop and click on a level to download, it just says "subscribing" and nothing happens, I dont seem to be able to start playing. the same happens whether I've added the level from the ingame workshop or through the steam interface.

I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling but it hasnt changed.

Can someone help?

I dunno, works here, though the interface is weird.
What I did (all ingame, no Steam interface):
  • Workshop
  • Click a level to subscribe
  • Click the same level to play

The Workshop stuff depends on the Steam client behaving properly - it 's used to download paintings that you've subscribed to from the Steam servers and sync things up. I suspect the problem is in there. Maybe try logging out of Steam and back in. I've also seen weird behavior that just fixes itself after some time.

Thanks for that, I checked out my steam settings and it was set to only auto-update games at night, which apparently also applies to workshop items. I changed that, and theyve all downloaded fine now.
