And when you think about it, wings/jetpack isn't really high on priority list by any means given that one of game's gimmick mechanics is capturing monsters to be able to transform into them, including flying monsters (Repty my beloved ♥), which already gives player infinite flight capabilities.
And yes, necklace does take a valuable slot, and it's pretty rare too. Which is why I think it would be beneficial to just add it as expensive mid/late game passive upgrade to doublejump passive branch at this point, considering how many players rely on it and how much better game feels without worrying about fall damage.
As much as I want to cheer for removing all and any bugs in the game, given there is just a single developer working on code (onilink), I think it's just better to focus on harmful bugs that impair player enjoyment of the game (crashes, item or progress loss, unfair deaths, savefile corruptions, bugs that can cause parts of game to be locked out) and allow minor bugs in the game. Basically promoting them to "unintended advanced tech" if you know what i mean.
They also will be important for some skills of the gold and dragon armor (later).
But I'm still mitigated at the idea of removing the "infinite" dash/jump bug.
Or maybe I can remove it as a bug, and add it as a feature for an early game equippable item...
Because tbh it's not really practical to use for fighting/exploration, but it's fun and useful in some situations.
And even without that you still can place some blocks to move in height. So it's not really a game breaker bug...
But yes, it's probably a better idea to add a special item for that. Maybe different tiers with different "dash/jump" limits. Maybe some inertia...
The butterfly charm itself could just grant this effect.
Also, good idea.
