this came out in 2001
and it has more players than Microsoft Studies now 4x flop, the woke civ clone ARA.

good games stay good games I guess.

Haha, you are right. Civ3 - 1300 players, Ara - 500.

I still play Civ III. Infrequently these days (last played March of this year), but I do still play which is more than I can say for Civ IV which I purchased circa 2005/6 but found disappointing to the point where even at bargain basement prices I have not bothered with the later versions.

There are some old games which have become classics. For me, this is one of them.
