added to conquest.ini KeepRes=1 works fine, widescreen and native resolution
I guess I'll just have to live with my pillarboxed Civilization, better than a windowbox.
It's sounds like windowed mode (not fullscreen).
Can you show a screenshot pls?
Civ III widescreen display in Windows 10 fixed - maybe?
After much tinkering to get this to run full screen in Windows 10 and a 16:10/ GE Radeon 900 graphics I hit upon the following - and it finally works - perfectly
Create a shortcut from the conquests .exe file on your hard drive
Go to properties - set compatibility mode for Windows 7. Check the "disable display scaling on high DPI settings".
Edit the conquests INI file - add the line KeepRes=1 (as recommended in other threads)
Start the program in steam (or the short cut).
NB - without the modified shortcut the KeepRes command didn't work.
It should be automatic!!!
