9.008. Crew bugs
1. The character is no longer displayed on the portrait but they are still in the ship. Don't know the cause.
2. Not sure if I call it a bug but it is not clear what the crew is doing. I would like to more have a drop down tab from the character screen to assign them to work or something to make it more clear. Sometimes they stand around and I am not sure if they are using the guns or not. I would like to give clear orders to all like fight the fire or go repair or man your stations.
3. I can't equip my crew.

Have that bug since i bought this game....since years....cant undertsnad why this gamebreaking bug wasnt fixed. I got this bug every game, in 9.008 too....really, can this pls be fixed...

This doesn't fix the bug, but I've noticed the same thing, and having said crew follow me on/off station would *sometimes* *temporarily* resolve it (by simply toggling follow-hold).

Other people have suggested you might be able to re-recruit the exact same crew, leading to multiple Marv's, etc. on your ship. I'm not positive if I've ever had that experience granted, if I had, I didn't notice (since a non-moving Marv can blend in pretty easily, given the low resolution/etc. of those sprites).
