I carry two weapons on the hotkey slot. But whenever I switch weapons while the weapon is firing (M1 + 1-4), the weapon appears to not have automatically reloaded while holstered; it just starts the process after bring it back out.

Probably because the aim key (M2) is keeping the reload timer from triggering.
