I guess I explained it wrong. It keeps saying that I can't do anything inside the hangar, but I can't tell how to take the ship out of it.
Next probable sticking point: If a given hyperlane is too long for you to be able to detect a system on the other side, a likely occurrence at the start of the game, right-click the hyperlane itself to travel along it. If you can see the destination system, however, you can simply right-click that system.
By the way, "Disband" merely sends all selected ships/fleets to the hangar at a given location as individual ships, removing all fleet associations, it does not actually dismantle units. For that, you'll want the little "skull" icon =). Remember, however, that since ships gain experience, upgrading instead of dismantling is often a better idea.
*Very useful, topical hint* While waypoints don't exist in ES2 as such, you can force a ship to travel directly from point A to point B — assuming you have off-starlane travel, that is ^^' — by holding down the Control key while right-clicking. Overriding the normal pathing algorithm like this is useful for surprise attacks, avoiding enemy chokepoints, protecting vulnerable ships (NOTHING can harm a fleet while traveling), and several other shenanigans.
You need to select the ship and click to CREATE a fleet before you can do anything with it. The button is in the middle lower window when you click the ships in the solar system, if I recall right.
This really confused me as well, made the same mistake a number of times.
and they expect ppl to pay £50 for game
If you MUST hijack other folks' threads, would you mind being (much) clearer? At least chew fewer marbles while you fume -.-' ...
GOD BLESS YOU, could not find out what im doing wrong.... game tutorial says nothing about losing fleet status when splitting exploration fleet from argosy, spent at least hour or two trying to find out what did i do wrong.
