Well this does not work.
I've read logs and this seems to be linked with access rights. Or a segmentation fault. For some reason the game needs admin rights to work, which many windows users have reported as a fix. Then again everything inside a wine prefix should have full access rights in its "sandbox". The game launches and crashes, the log mentions "curl" for some reason. Reading a bit about that leads me to believe the game ships with outdated distributable libraries which can cause problems on some machines.
My suspicion is that the game tries to "ring home" when it is launched, segfaults and crashes because someone forgot to ship new distributables together with release after the latest big patch.
And the new version of this file NETAPI32.DLL can not be put in the directory of the game?
If you have played and 2 hours it would be better to return the game. Version from the GOG store. com seems to work better. But it is better to clarify on the forum.

Only problem I've had is the cinematic battles turn into slideshows when there are a lot of missles, but it's never crashed.
