Which starting perk is better for AGI build?
Asking for anyone who's already beaten the game with an AGI build. While the additional dodge chance possibly goes well with all the other skills in the Tiger tree, I wonder if it's really even good in the late game, since it also makes you take more damage.

Could the leg kicking traing be just flat out better?

I had the dodge perk, 2/22+1/8, and Unstoppable, Wind Flow Dodge, Cutthroat, Cobra Strike and Crossroads as my skill lineup. I didn't get hit once in the last fight.

Crossroads+Unstoppable makes dodging in this game insanely overpowered. Anything that improves your dodge is going to be the best option. edit:(I also didn't get hit in the last fight...)

Thanks, though which perk did you choose at the start?

Skinny Guy is the best.

You really don't need Str for the build, and the damage from strong legs is very secondary compared to not getting hit.

Thanks Fugitive. One las thing - did any of you ever use Block in the end game (AGI build), having all skill slots available? I've found it helpful sometimes against opponents with high STR when you still don't have that many dodging skills unlocked.

Even after the last update's nerf, Thin Guy is still the best by far.

In my run, I never even *learned* block. Crossroads, Unstoppable, Cutthroat, and whatever your two most powerful kicks are.

Any. AGI is so OP that it really doesn't matter.

I had the Skinny Guy perk

I used Flip kick and Mirror Technique for the whole game after I got them assuming I slotted an attack at all. At 1 STR it's only 1 STA to kick and whenever Mirror Technique triggers (triggers almost every time for me) it uses your opponets damage instead. (1 stamina for 20 damage lol)

My 1/20/6 build was Crossroads/Unstoppable/Mirror Techniques/Flip Kick/Penetrating Strike(?)
honestly I probably wouldn't even bother unlocking the 5th slot if I did it again. Any opponent that themselves has crossroads or something I'd just take out flip kick and stick some passive in there to keep myself from attacking.

Yeah, scratch that, I just realized that whether or not you have Block depends on which skills you choose before the first mugger fight. You can choose Block and you will have Block, if you choose Kick, you'll have Kick - either way, you will be missing one.

Edit: to add to that, now I have Kick and Dodge learned and I'm thinking of completely skipping Punch and Block. Now, the question is will I be able to learn, for example, Backhand High Punch (since it reads: replaces Punch) if I've never gotten Punch to begin with?

Yes, and in fact it "learns" the skill it replaces when you take a skill like that. You can save some skill points by planning out your spending to take advantage of that.

Could the leg kicking traing be just flat out better?

There really is not an unambiguous answer for this one.

For Bear build, strong arms is without question the best.
For Turtle build, strong arms is again definitely the best.

For the Tiger build, popular opinion strongly favors Skinny Guy since this fighting style is heavily based around dodging success. The more successful dodges you can make, the better you will fare, while offensive success is heavily about keeping your strength LOW so you can attack very cheaply, bypassing enemy defenses so your low attack power can still do meaningful damage, and eventually dealing damage by dodging to plug some of the gap in your offensive power.

In the ultra late game with an agility build, when your stats might look something like 1/20/9, you may find that your defensive skills are extremely high, but that total invincibility still evades you, and that one of the major challenges is that it's taking you until the 4th round to knock out high HP opponents, who end up dealing a lot of damage simply because they're surviving that long. The tiger build can beat most early game opponents by throwing karate kicks with 1 strength that deal OK damage with high accuracy for extremely cheap costs. When you get into the late game, kicks dealing 10 damage become like mosquito bites against opponents with 15 stamina.

For this reason, even though the strong legs benefit, which lends extra damage to kick attacks, is NOT what you'll prefer for most of the game, its capability to increase the offensive power of a dodge artist means that advanced players still might prefer it. If you really master agility/dodge training, you can get by without Skinny Guy, but a late-game tiger will be using attack/buff selection, defense bypassing, damage reflection, and possibly even poison for additional sources of damage. Putting a little something extra on your kicks is not a waste of time.
