I'm not sure. Haven't played. You might want to make this it's own post so people see it, though.
This is very much a matter of personal taste.
Pros of playing PC1 first; It has a ton of lore which is kept unspoken and mysterious in PC2. There are a LOT of characters in PC1 who interacted with PC1's protagonist, only to run into PC2's protagonist 20 years later. Yes, there is a massive time jump. Our story continues in the same city and things have CHANGED. Many characters remember PC1 inaccurately, and well tell stories about its events that are not correct. If you are an enthusiast for knowing how things really went down, you should play PC1
Cons of playing PC1: It is a very rough and buggy game. Lazy Bear Games were a garage band when they made this. Some of the bugs and glitches are intentional and satirical. Others are just the result of really ambitious and super low-cost work. It will not be a graceful experience. I think it's worth it, but PC1 is a good game to play casually. I have hundreds of hours on it because I used to replay it to make myself sleepy before bed.
Pros of going straight to PC2: It is, by comparison, a larger, harder, more complex, more beautiful, and smoother game. It is just way better in every respect, so going straight to it is more respectful of your time as a gamer.
Cons of going straight to PC2: You will not recognize a LOT of PC1 characters who have aged and changed since showing up in PC1. When some major villains resurface come up in the deeper backstory, you will not recognize them. When you have finished the game, some of the biggest loose threads will remain unknown to you. The story will make enough sense to enjoy it without PC1, but the deepest possible understanding of Punch Club lore would come from completing the Good AND Evil paths through PC1, as well as the two major paths through PC2.
As for your ADD, I would try to avoid putting pressure on yourself to play ONLY these game sand nothing else when you are working on them. You can complete PC1 in a single sitting if you really know what you're doing. PC2 is way, way longer, but you can play either game in windowed mode vs fullscreen, so you could mute the game and idle grind for money or stat progress while watching Netflix, doing schoolwork, doing work from home, whatever. The game does not require your undivided attention unless you're trying to catch all the jokes and the lore in a cutscene.
I don't know enough about you or your tastes to make a recommendation. PC1 was a bold and innovative game for its time, but its gameplay has not aged well even though it remains highly addictive. PC2 is another indie masterpiece that left its mark on the whole genre. From a gameplay standpoint, I'd pick it up straight from 2, but as a lore addict that is not my style. I usually try to pick up new series from as early on as technology allows me.
