The first "hump" of the game
I've been trying to figure out how to go about getting over the first hump of the game, where the fighters start being a bit harder at both the gym and the ultimate fights; they seem to be really good at wearing out my stamina as a 2-4-2 player, and that just puts me in an unwinnable state of getting knocked down over and over.

Any agility players have any recommendations for the relatively early game? I have a treadmill and speedbag in my garage and I've been kind of doing this schedule:

Train
Boost all needs to maximum
Work
Boost all needs to maximum
Train/fight (and lose)
Boost all needs to maximum

I feel like I'm wasting time somewhere, or I should be using some other fights to get skill points (at least to get the chopsticks). I have three skill slots and am usually using high kick, kick and dodge. I have unlocked the high back punch but I felt it was too much of a drain on stamina to be useful. I'd love to get the chopsticks training perk (15% more agility) but it's a bit of a tough time to get there if I can't win any fights to get skill points. Should I be trying the bar?

hey, well done on getting the equipement this early with the muggers around it's not an easy task. It looks like you're well set up to progress. However the gym might still be useful to control your stats better (as they have more equipement)

I think your issue right now is the stat spread. If you remember the book Frank left for you an agi fighter uses a 1-3-2 spread. By raising your strengh to 2 you made all your moves drain more stamina and also unbalanced your build. You have a few choices I think:

-either let the STR drop and continue to focus on AGI/STA or if you want to keep 2 STR aim for 4 STA and 6 AGI

-Get the "Skip attack" skill in the general tree (early in the tree above the first action slot) This will allow you to manage the stamina in fights better. Many strategies are possible and for example: Dodge-Backended punch (the AGI skill that you have i guess)-Skip attack: let's you hit hard while not taking much damage and keeping a high stamina.

For skillpoints: You can get 2-3 at the gym per day, you can also get some by sparring Roy and some more by fighting at the bar. Skillpoints win the game even more than stats, so try to keep working on getting them (loosing fights still nets you points and morale)

My last advice may be a bit spoilerish: If you haven't done it yet: Romance Adrian. After gaining her attention use the "chat" with her, takes around half a day of chatting to get some hearts showing up from her. As soon as the hearts show up, tell her you are in love, she will say it's the same for her and you will get an awesome buff that lasts 4 days and allows you to train a lot more efficiently

I had no idea that the STR made me use more stamina; I thought they only made me have more health and hit harder. This is likely my problem, as I saw my stamina go down much faster. Thanks!
Great info, ty
