Gothic II: Gold Classic

Gothic II: Gold Classic

Storm is the best spell in the game!
Did you know that a pure magician gains maximum power already on the 3rd round, collecting a total mana value of 300, because this will allow you to charge the storm 3 times and deal 750 damage in one attack! The double charge of the storm deals damage like a rain of fire and lasts much longer, allowing the magician to stop pumping on the 3rd circle and kill any opponents, including elite orcs, already in Chapter 3, in unlimited numbers!

It's not as powerful as wave of death or fire rain, but yeah it lasts longer and mage can clear almost everything with storm while having only circle 3 of magic. It's really doing wonders when combined with speed potion or acrobatics
People who saying that mage have to wait for circle 6 to become overpowered - they just overlooked this one

But it's not best choice against golems, demons or dragons

Only ice golems can withstand the storm, the rest die instantly in 1 or double shot, demons are usually in confined spaces, which is why they can be killed standing next to the wall of the room and not receiving damage at all, the fire dragon almost instantly dies, receiving slightly less than 1000 damage, the rest of the dragons they will die easily with the help of skeletons and finishing off with a triple storm shot, the death wave does not have a long-lasting effect, does not affect the undead, the fire rain does not work correctly with a bullet shot and does not allow you to instantly kill elite orcs in a large radius.
The main thing is that one storm can replace all 3 circles after the 3rd, combined with an ice block and skeletons, you can easily complete the entire game as a pure magician, getting maximum pleasure with the fastest speed to achieve it.

Wave of death have pretty good range if you combine it with speed potion or acrobatics, and also it DOES affect undead. It gives 1000, 1500 or 2000 damage depends on range (the closer to enemy the more powerful it is), not 500 as description says. It kills insantly everything except dragons and black troll (and of course magic golem)

I dont know what do you mean by "fire rain does not work correctly with a bullet shot" but fire rain is very reliable and its casted very quickly, which is useful if you are attacked by surprise. You found yourself among 20 elite orcs? You just cast it twice. With storm you would have to run away in that situation and then cast it

Against ice golems, dragons and demons I would rather take zombie from circle 4

But still, I agree that storm is really powerful and underrated spell.

In the current versions of Steam Fix, a wave causes only 500 damage, of course, a storm requires the skill of choosing a distance and choosing a good charging position, but I have never been surrounded by 20 elite orcs, running away against serious forces is a necessary measure for any class, of course, rain is faster, but with proper storm charging, you will not need to shoot at close range, leaving the environment, because you will not get into it, as you will kill everything in one attack.

Yeah with right tactic or speed potion/acrobatics, storm can can clear the map. But I just PREFER to have higher circles as well :)

Btw about wave of death, I just checked and it gave 1000 dmg to my target. Sometimes it hits target twice (because of bug) and then it gives 2000 dmg

In my current version, again, it only does 500 damage. Apparently, the reason is Spellfix

Also in non modded game without "spellfix", one death wave or one fire rain is enough to kill seeker, while we need three storms for that.

Most, if not all, seekers will be killed in chapter 5, the rest will be on Irdorat, I don't see the difference between killing them in one attack with a triple storm for 300 mana or one rain for 150, although it has a shorter action, which may work worse, for example, on farms where they are scattered around a decent area in large numbers, when in one triple storm I can kill them all at once in 1 circle.
I just went through the whole game in one storm, staying on lap 3, the rain, and even more so the idiotic wave of death, are simply not needed.

I see difference - it's faster and can save your HP/life if seeker decides to use fire rain themselves, or if they are in group and throw all the fireballs at once

Storm is very good but I want ultimate magic power

During the entire passage, I received one fireball from the seekers only because he suddenly came out from behind the trees, the other dozens of these nobodies died before they could get the runes and aim at me-instantly.
