If you want to progress with your strength furthermore, check for foods that grant you permanent bonuses and teachers.

You would need to progress with Night of the Raven expansion. Talk to Vatras in Khorinis middle city and he will guide you. After some time, solving some quests, riddles and playing a detective for a while, you will be able to enter the hidden part of the island - Jharkendar.

The expansion itself is mandatory, if you wish to progress the main story since Chapter III, but you can start doing it as soon as you hit Chapter II.

So in your case, you would need to go back from Valley of Mines to Khorinis. You could do that either by finishing Chapter II, or simply by coming back the way you came.

I killed Dexter already and brought back home Elvrich, not sure what step i am missing. But maybe i can go to Jharkendar already and just don't know it ? Where do i have to go to reach it ?

Talk with Lares, if done everything correctly, he will guide you to the ruins, where all the other Water Mages are. Do some quests for them and activate the ancient portal. If you already been there, or if you cannot go there with Lares, open your map and guide yourself up North.

And make sure that (Warning, probable spoiler ahead) Vatras have read Dexter's orders and that you are a member of the Ring of Water.

Sure thing! Jharkendar might be difficult, but once you finish the expansion, you will probably become buffed up.
