[EXTREMELY OUTDATED][PSA]: NSFL loud scream popup is being caused due to a stolen account with popular addons [GLue, view extension, between others]

This post essentially serves as nothing but an outlook on the old case. If anything else pops up like this, this is not the place to look for

What happened?

the owner of a few addons (notably Glue and View Extensions) has been hacked and their addons replaced to display NSFL alongside constantly printing an edgy message and playing a loud sound whenever you do any sort of input ingame

How to check if i'm affected?

First, type the next command, it will take a while (specially if you have a big chunk of addons) so be patient

map_background gm_construct

This will start a game session whilst not putting you ingame, you won't be able to do any inputs in any way so the NSFL pop-up will not trigger, now type the next command

lua_find ♥♥♥♥

if "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ - (boolean - true)" is outputted anywhere that means one of your subscribed addons is one of the affected ones

How do i get rid of this?

Uninstall from ALL of these addons if you happen to be subscribed to any of them as they're the ones that were affected, i'm not sure if there's more of these and if there is please tell me so i can add them here

UPDATE: Infected addons are gone!

make sure you run "menu_cleanupgmas" just to be sure that everything is gone

Update 2: apparently the same thing is going on with addons uploaded by someone by the name of "yeahyeahhi", no clue if it's related in any way, but giantic heads up when subbing to addons, here's the guy's addons https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/id/flusak1235/myworkshopfiles/?p=4

Try reinstalling Gmod, that's what I had to do. Definitely delete the Garry's Mod folder as well. Can officially say that it's gone now on my end by doing this.

dont delete you gmod folder

Iunno about you guys; I had luck just unsubscribing from the addon; been playing successfully for a while now. It's weird that some of you guys are still having problems.

Okay, more information, in the addons, when you are ingame and press any function key, you will get jumpscared/shocked by the apparition of a shock image on the screen, in this case, the infamous "Goatse" image (dont know if you already know what the image is about), while followed by the infamous image, you can hear a male high pitch scream.

Goatse image is about a guy stretching his anus unto the point that he rags and extracts his rectum, while extending his anus to the length of his hand, tearing it apart, all of this in a a$$-focus image, with the camera pointing towards very closely to the scene

Edit: According to the Youtube user and Youtuber "Whang!" and his investigation, the name of the guy that appears on the Goatse image is "Kirk Johnson", and the post originates from a gay blog website with groups, thats all.

From the comments, they didn't get hacked. They just decided to throw a tantrum.
If you are subbed to that addon, and didn't run the game / didn't let it update, make a copy of the GMAs, send them to me and i'll reupload clean versions of them.

PROTIP: Type menu_cleanupgmas to actually REMOVE the malicious addons once you unsubscribe from them.

Gmod doesn't delete .gma files of any addons by default, so they can still affect you even after being unsubscribed. Go into the options menu from the main menu, then you can open up the console and type that in. menu_cleanupgmas is the easiest way to remove unsubscribed addon.

EDIT: menu_cleanupgmas will only remove unsubscribed addons.

Thanks.. i got to experience this the hard way now im shocked.
It had image of goatsee (a man spreading his ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥) with sound of loud nigra and fnaf 1 jumpscare. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Come on Gman virus is old dont do something same.
