Fix for the game crashing on 10th and 11th gen Intel CPUs
I was having this game and also Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2 crashing after about 30 seconds in the exact same manner and I found out this is an issue with all Unreal 4 games when using a new Intel CPU and has something to do with OpenSSL (I don't personally know what, but I know how to fix it)

Step 1. Open "Control Panel" by searching for it in Windows search bar, by pressing the Windows button or key.
Step 2. Go to "System & Security"
Step 3. Go to "System"
Step 3. Press "Advanced system settings"
Step 4. Press "Environmental Variables"
Step 5. Create a new "System Variable" (NOT USER VARIABLE)
Step 6. Enter the following into the Variable name box: OPENSSL_ia32cap
Step 7. Enter the following into the Variable value box: ~0x20000000
Step 8. Now press OK.
Step 9. Restart your PC

I found this in a Battlefleet 2 thread but the source of this fix is from a dev for Post Scriptum: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/736220/discussions/2/3148556875506185780/

Thanks! This kinda works, I think. I was able to make it past Level 1 at least before I saved and decided to play later. Although I still feel iffy about 'modifying' my system settings like this for just one game.

How is this setting in the long run? Does this affect other games or parts of the system? Just curious.

It affects everything that runs on Unreal 4 and if your pc is just used for gaming, it won't do anything noticeable

Hmm, well, yeah I pretty much just game on my PC, or just browse the web, and sometimes edit stuff in Office (Word or PowerPoint) for school projects. But other than that I should generally be okay?

In case I ever need to reverse this though, how can I reverse this? I just delete that system variable?

Alright! Well you had this on since August 22nd, experienced any issues related to it so far or all good? If so, then I think I'll be alright.

Just a bit paranoid lol but I'm glad it at least work and fixes the game.

I haven't noticed anything different since then

Thanks! In that case... I should be good! Sorry for getting all worried earlier.

Anyways, back to shooting in P.R.!

Tried it and still got the dreaded Fail to load. I am beginning to suspect it may have to do to my new monitor a 34in curved screen Samsung. It works great on almost everything except MOM, of which I had 1016 hours of game time, and Halo, Anno 1800, and few others. At one time they would work great if I ran them outside of Steam. Now that doesn't work. It works on my lap top but the mouse is all but uncontrollable.

maybe try windowed mode if you think it's to do with your monitor
