Conquest of Elysium 4

Roleplay question
Do you think roleplay could be feasible in Conquest Of Elysium 4?

Depends on how you mean it, but yes?

That's why I said it depends. You could consider what factions you have IN a team/alliance to be more lore friendly. For example, you wouldn't put Discount Christianity in the same faction with Deonologists or the Discount Satan worshippers. It just would be...strange, from a lore point of view. However, if you aren't interested in the 'rp' aspect of it, then it doesn't matter. Alternatively, in a big ol multiplayer game, with no teams, you could technically (if you can communicate) rp there as well. Making trade deals on lands to keep wars from happening and so on. It IS feasible to 'rp' in this game, provided you have the interest and other people willing to do it. If you mean purely from a mechanical point...no.

I ran a brief RPG for CoE... Both of my players died in the first 2 hours, having joined some bandits for the night on the road and being eaten by bears. (The bandits were eating a potato stew, which drew the bears) Unbeknowst to them, they were unexpected heroes.

Sounds like a fun concept. Also, sounds like the two of them got off really easily compared to...you know, everything else that can happen in the world.

if everyone is a player, you can role play, just like in regular dominions. Otherwise the only roleplay enforced in the game are the mechanics in place to make factions different.

What system did you use for the CoE RPG?

A very loose homebrew. D20 + generic stats.

Hmm, I would have figured D&D 3.5 or preferrably Pathfinder with more study into the insanity mechanics. Alternatively, The C'thulu tec

I mean people do rp in other games that weren't originally designed for it, so if you got people for it you could do it

Presumably you could adopt many of the mechanics used in the game.

An Elysium rpg would be a bit nuts but could definitely be fun.
