Question about other planar immortality

I find that those kings from the elemental plane are other planar immortality, which means that they would reform in elemental plane and rid any magic bindings. I guess they would reform in the corresponding citadel on the elemental plane. So, I wonder what would happen if I have conquered all those citadels. Would they fight my army in the citadel once they are killed in the Elysium?

The way immortality works is that it only works if that citadel is still owned by the unit trying to reform there. If you have a force occupying its citadel, it wont reform.

So, you mean that if the citadels are no longer occupied by independent faction, the kings are no longer immortal?

I believe so. Though I haven't tested it, so I could just be wrong.

Without being 100% certainI think if they are killed on the mortal plane they will respawn in the elemental citadel regardless of who owns it. So if the garrison isnt strong enough to defeat them then they recapture it, if it is strong enough then they die permanently.

I have tried to have them killed in the main plane and they respawn in the citadel without fighting but became wandering independent troops.
