I was dominating a game near the end and started casting MIASMA which creates poison in squares surrounding a swamp. After I had a lot of them (I didn't count) it stopped working.

Every time I then cast it the witch lost the 3 movement points for casting but the MIASMA was not created. I restarted game but same thing.

Are there maximum # of effects for this and other spells?
