New Class: The Fire Emblem Mod
This mod adds the Tactician class to the game. This guy focuses on recruiting and upgrading units through his rituals.

Known Issue: After every battle, a special unit called a Manakete (that you can summon from a level 3 ritual) stops following your commander, so you need to manually add her again.

I tried to make it somewhat balanced, but I can't guarantee anything.

Edit 3: New version: fixes bugs with Fire Emblem Paladin getting confused with Voice of El Paladin. and Fire Emblem Assassins with regular Assassins

Edit 4: New version. fixed the bug with "procure allies"

Edit 5: added Mage Knight and Valkyries, also removed soldiers from "Procure allies". There's now also a version that comes with stationary defenders included.

Edit 6: slight changes, and included a fire emblem themed map with the nations from all main games!

Edit 7: updated the map, added a version with Ronnier's updates.

I want to start off by saying this is an amazing mod and has made me a very happy man. Fire emblem is one of the best game series to be released. I did notice a bug, however: When casting procure allies (Level 3 ritual) for 200g, I recieve one pirate, one archer. That's all. Anyway. Keep up the great work!
Edit: Also the knight crest upgrades cavaliers into Paladins (Of El) instead of Fire Emblem Paladins.

I honestly feel like I don't know how dice work anymore. In another mod I'm making, I put a summon with 1d2 as the string. It randomly spawned 8 of them.

I'm a bit busy right now, but I'll fix the Paladin bug later. Happened with a lot of units, actually. I just put "Emblem" in their names so there wouldn't be confusion. Must've forgot to do that with Paladins.

Edit: For clarity, his is the string you got

addstring "1d6+14*Pirate & 1d6+14*Emblem Archer"

Either dice are bugged, or I'm just dumb.

anyway, please tell me if you find any more bugs.

nemid, very enjoyable mod thank you. I haven't played very far into it either, but the first time I cast procure, I got (1) knight and (1) cavalier - similar to draco2million's experience. I looked at the ritual and didn't see anything wrong, but also didn't see how either experience should have been possible either, not that I'm all that experienced of a modder. Anyway good work, but I do miss the Laguz. Any chance you'll be adding them?

Yeah, I have no idea what's going on with the dice. Let's hope someone else has a solution.

About the Laguz, I do wish to add them eventually, perhaps as a different class, along with FE8's monsters. I didn't add them in this one for a couple reasons:

1- Lack of classic fire emblem style sprites for Laguz
2- I didn't know how to make a shapeshifting unit like a Laguz would be (though this problem is sorta fixed, after I learned how to make the Manakete. Still sucks you have to add them back to your group after every battle)
3- I'm too lazy for my own good.

It might be a while before I do though, because right now I'm working on a Horror-using mod, and planning a tarot based mod.

The tier 1 units come from look for allies and equivalents. There's a lot of variations there.

The tier 2 units come from promoting tier 1 units. The main promotion rituals promote specific subtypes. Hero crest promotes fighters, myrmidons and Mercenaries, Knight crest promotes Knights, cavaliers and soldiers and so on.

Master and Earth seals promote a larger amount of units, and those units are promoted to alternative classes (Shaman gets promoted to Summoner instead of Druid, for example).

The way the promotion function is programmed, it reads the strings in pairs.

So it'll be archer -> ranger
wyv rider -> wyv knight

and so on, until the end of the strings

New slight tweaks have been made, and the mod now also includes a huge fire emblem themed map, featuring all the continents from the main series! To use it, place the map file in your "maps" folder, then when setting up a new game, choose "load map" instead of starting with a random map.

I made an update for coe4 fire emblem mod.

update description :
solve the issue Manakete stop following commander, no need to transfer unit again and again now
add description to all troop upgrade rituals, about original unit and upgrade result
add javelin weapon to all lance users
add acutesenses and stealth to emblem assassin
seperate recruit lord into Recruit Knight/Flier/Foot/Mage/Archer Lord
seperate procure allies ritual into Procure Knight/Flier/Foot/Mage/Archer allies
seperated rituals will be learned at the same time, spending resources only once
increase protect area ritual summond troop count and cost
add a ritual to upgrade stationary defender
add siege units to the class, lower level Arrowspate, can be upgraded to Hoistflamme(blunt damage, fire burst) or Thunderbolt(magic damage, shock burst), they have wheeled chasis so no movement penalty

Huh, I didn't think anyone would make an update like this. I didn't think to use firstshape on the manakete, I somehow thought you'd be forced to use secondshape as well. Siege units are a good idea that I completely forgot even existed when making this. Separating the procure/lord rituals isn't inherently good or bad, it depends on playstyle. I like these changes overall.

Thank you for this, Ronnier! Nemid did a fantastic job with this mod, but the manakete fix alone is really appreciated. I was leaving those things behind all the time. I also really like the addition of the siege units!
