Random Class Generator
I don't know if anyone has done something like this, but here you go.

Random Class Generator [cra7347.github.io]

This is a website that creates randomized new classes and adds them to the game. It shuffles starting units, starting officers, recruitable units, and assigns them a random ritual power from vanilla classes. It also includes some extra units such as horrors and a handful from Dominions

If you want, it also can overwrite certain classes that don't like to be modded such as the Voice of El, Dryad Queen, Troll King, the Baron, so that they may be randomized too.

It works on most browsers, but I recommend using Brave, Chrome, Opera, or Firefox. I also tested it on Edge and IE.

Naturally, some combinations are going to be a bit overpowered, such is the nature of randomization, but I did my best to try and even the results out.

Please tell me if you would like any additional units added from base game or Dominions, or if there is anything you think needs to be changed in order keep it from getting too out of balance, or bugs with the website or results.

Howdy! I love this concept. It's fantastic.

Getting an error when attempting to run it though:
Error in Mod 'C:\Users\****\appdata\roaming\coe4\mods/randomclasses.c4m' at line 338
mod command 'spirit sight' did nothing

Followed by a CTD. Going to try overwriting it with a new random, but I figured I'd post this while it was fresh.

Edit: Tried multiple overwrites, getting the same error each time after attempting to load the mod in the main menu.

Sorry about that. I literally just added a new monster to the list 10 minutes ago before you posted and accidentally capitalized spiritsight .

I just fixed it.

Thank you for pointing it out so fast. You're a lifesaver.

Haha! Figures it's something like that! Glad it's an easy fix. Thanks for also getting back so fast!

Haha, so this is pretty great. Is there a way to pick a specific race out of the generated races and seperate it out? Six of the starts I have done have been ridiculous. I've gotten one with an ape leader, a ton of animals available for sale, and he uses barbarian rituals. It's pretty great (If not particularly good!) I've also gotten a demon ritual rabbit with 1hp, supported by an icthyd captain, and their posse of barechested slingers. The first one I got was a wyvern with illusion rituals, and his entirely ranged army. He rushed in first and got slaughtered. It was hilarious, if pointless. Regardless, I'm going to hit the hay for the night. Thanks for the generator, it's fantastic.

1. This thing is awesome.

2. Leaders have Mastery rituals which level them into an entirely unrelated unit, which then Masteries into something different again. This is fun but strategically...challenging...Any way to force it to keep the same ritual path when levelling up?

3. Is there a way to force some kind of theme, however vague, on a faction, rather than pure randomization?

Sorry, 2 is actually a bug . I just fixed it. It seems I messed up mastery in the one of the updates.

I was working on an option to randomize class ritual paths and forgot to remove part of it from the code

Random classes should now level up into level 3 ritual users of the same path.

Wow this sounds amazing, not got the game yet but planning on buying this instead of dominions 5 since I hate how combat looks in that game. Are you able to just add all Dominions units? Or is that too complicated. Would love to play Elysium with Dominions units and just skip playing dominions altogether.

Also are you able to add neutral units to the map from dominions? So the enemy has more variety outside of just the factions. Seen a mod that allows you to carry on a game vs the neutral enemies once all enemy factions are dead, so you essentially fight the wild life, events and various planes.

Right now this generator only adds a few units from Domnions, mainly such as cavemen, several generic human units such as the militia, and a few lizard units and Aboleths. No units are added to independents.

The generator also adds some of the gods, such as the Python and Ormr.

I could add more units in the future, but a lot of people, including myself, have released mods to add Dominion factions to COE4. For example, I made a mod that adds Fomoria and the Aboleths to the game a couple of weeks ago.

This generator wasn't really meant to be a Dominions conversion, I figured people would prefer to download separate mods if they wanted a playable faction from Dominions,. A few Dominions units were added to give the generator a little extra flavor.

You should probably look to see if your satisfied with the mods available in the modding forum, or if they have any factions you like before buying the game. Then again, the vanilla factions are pretty fun too. A lot of them share units used in Dominions.

I think a lot of the Vanilla factions are meh really, witch looks super strong, but a lot seem "generic"? Its really odd, I love how Dominions classes look, the Gods and the spell system, but love Elysiums battles and world map more. Shame theres not a conversion mod really, just to add Dominions factions (like all the vanilla Dominions factions) and Pretender God system.

Is there a way to create a downloadable version of the generator that will allow other modded factions to be used in it? That way I could just add lots of cool faction mods and randomise it.

Yeah i think this would be awesome. just throw every faction mod in there to flavor it up for some real fun stuff.
