The Tropical Portal that comes twice a month you can find the yellow roof pieces. They're on the inside of the portal door. You can take a magnifying glass to them to unlock them in the catalogue. One of the airship merchants sells building supplies and you can sometimes find them there. Lucky boxes will also give them to you. I like Lucky boxes since they unlock things that you haven't already unlocked in the catalogue
