there isn't you can only rotate it in your hand,what did you put down?

i was trying to put the bed down. i d even k how to rotate in the hand

hold down the place key and use the mouse scroll wheel to rotate before you actually place

Keep playing until you get a hammer. Use the hammer to smash the item, it will come back to your inventory. Then you can try to put it down again. HOLD DOWN left mouse button to rotate(Q/E) when you put it down. I had to restart the game before I figured this out... :P

I have the her and it just keeps putting it in the same position everytime I replace it

If you have a controller I believe the right stick helps (it's been a while since I last played with either mouse and keyboard or a controller). As for on a keyboard I thought rotation was hitting the r key before confirming the placement. Again been a while, I really should try to get back into this game.
