you can farm,build houses (after a while maximilian will give you postboxes and when you make a house a new npc will join the town),npcs will give you a quest to unlock further friendship these quests can include building a new shop (you build a pet shop for example) expending an already built building or bringing things etc.There is a lot of things to do if you stick with the game,there is also 4 festivals spring fay masquerade,autumn pumpking feast,winter snowdust faire and island portals which happens in every season
