Yes I use Windows :( Shame its not some how cross compatible.

Sadly, Mac players are unable to join non-CE servers. This is due to the games (Staxel vs Staxel CE) having completely different internals, despite having the same base gameplay. Staxel CE (Console/Compact Edition) is a complete rewrite of the game, made specifically for the Nintendo Switch, with various optimizations to help the game run smoothly. It sadly lacks mod support, though otherwise offers the same exact content that regular Staxel has.
Windows, Mac, and Linux players can play with each other, but only if everyone is using CE. There is no dedicated server executable for CE, so the only way to play with others would be to launch a server through the game, and either play on it or minimize the window.

All that said, though, I'd be down to give this a shot. A dedicated server sounds fun!

I think that not specifying what you mean by "serious" makes people feel unsure about the idea of joining, because let's be honest, most staxel players are casual players or people who have a "staxel phase" before abandoning the game once they get bored of it or run out of things to do, obviously playing 24/7 is not gonna be on anyone's mind and some people dont even have the chance to play it more than twice a week
It would be nice to distinguish what you consider as serious and what's casual to you, that would give people the idea what kind of players you're looking for

when i say serious i just mean some kind of commitment or intention to give the game a serious try. Not to log on, mess everything up and leave. Its not related to time playing etc. Sorry, I didnt realise this was an issue :)

i'm wondering if the offer is still up and just a few questions if it is.
i currently have an old laptop and wondering what list of mods you are using and how many do you think are currently playing the server? as i am not so familiar with server play besides hosting for a friend and me, would you need to have said mods downloaded on everyone's end or just the server end? i would love to play with others as i used to play with a friend who sadly hasn't been able to play for some time.
