Since this game has the most absurd save system I've ever seen and there's no other way to properly make a backup, I have to rely on the command the dev mentioned for making a file:

"You can create new additional profile in the game, to keep old save on first profile and start new game with second. Also, you can use following "hack" to dump registry data into file.
In game (for example when you are in Warehouse), press ~ (tilda) key and use following command:

savegame 1

then, it will export save data into file:
SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\TankMechanicSimulator\TankMechanicSimulator_Data\StreamingAssets\Internal\tms1.data

To load game, use command:

loadgame 1"

Well the thing about that though is the console will open just fine with the tilde ~ key, but I simply can't type in it. Can't click in it, can't do anything but open and close it. Tried doing it in different places, tried doing it with the pause menu up, nothing. This is really frustrating.

Edit: Oh and even more amusingly, can't type in the bug report screen either. Brilliant.
