Cant remove ignition wires on Pzkpfw IV Ausf G

I am trying to tear down the engine to get at a broken part but the ignition wires are blocking the way and while the interface says I need to push the right mouse button to remove it, no matter how much I zoom in and out and reposition the camera, nothing works to remove this part from the engine

Can you try this when aiming at the wires:
1. Select them with LMB
2. When selected press Spacebar
This should select the next dependancy that blocks this element

Okay thanks. I have realised that sometimes the dependency can be back ON the tank itself, this happened with an exhaust manifold and the exhaust on the M3 Half Track. I had the engine outside the vehicle and on the hoist, but it would not let me take off the exhaust manifold until I returned to the tank and removed the exhaust, I think something similar was happening with those wires.
