Trick or Treat achievement

Is there a way to get this achievement or its a one time only event?

I got the Little Willie Halloween Edition in a normal extraction and thought I would get it then but nope you really have to play on Halloween (and Christmas for the other one)

What are the dates that allow the achievement to be earned ? Is this only the exact day or like the week ? the month ?

Well, I tried that today and while the workshop gets Halloween decorations (so I knew force toggling worked), performing the Halloween excavation through the billboard did not pop the achievement. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I tried two times and no success. Have yet to try Christmas though... Any ideas anyone?

You need to check your emails and accept the excavation offer. This way, you can get the achievement anytime, it worked for me just now.

I've figured that out in the meantime too and successfully unlocked both achievements, but thank you anyways for highlighting. Anybody else reading this now can come to the right conclusion, thanks to you.
