Hey gang, I’ll do my best to get a video, it’s hard to capture for the following reason which may have something to do with the issue.
I’m running the game on an Xbox Series X, through Geforce Now, running on the MS Edge browser. First off, just so you know, it’s working pretty amazingly this way.
The extraction issue seems to be this:
When I have the controller settings set to “xbox controller” and hover over the tank to ask for the dig, no button press brings up the prompt. The press should be the “A” button on the controller, but it doesn’t do anything when pressed.
When switching to mouse it does the same thing, no prompt.
It’s worth noting, in this mode I can click and hold the map and move it easily. So HOLDING the “A” button (which corresponds to LMB) is working. Tapping is not.
Here is my current workaround: when it’s time to call in a dig, I switch my controller options in-game to M&K, as soon as I do that, I can click on the tank with my mouse, and it registers. I then switch back to “gamepad” in the settings and continue on with everything else no problem with a gamepad (Xbox Series X controller).
I have no issues with the “A” button in any other part of the game, except the fluid filling, which I described in a previous post (which also seems to have a workaround).
Let me add: when I’ve been using gamepad controls I’ve been using the “xbox controller” option in the game settings. So, now I’m using the “default gamepad” option to test and see what happens, I just haven’t had an extraction contract pop-up since so I haven’t been able to see if that makes a difference.
I’ll try to get video, but as it’s Geforce Now, through MS Edge on an Xbox there is no game file to verify, no save files to alter etc, and capturing to send as a file is a tough job!
I feel like it’s a unique situation due to how its being played, but I’ve found workarounds so far.
I really hope this helps you out, and if I figure anything else out through testing I will send my feedback through the email provided in the future if that’s the better way to report.
Once again, thank you for reaching out and your constant contact with the community , it shows you care and I’m sure you’ll get these issues ironed out.
Now that I’ve discovered some workarounds my enjoyment of the game has increased dramatically, and my future review will reflect that!
