Did tanks always run without oil?
I was able to start several tanks (Pz III, Stug 40, Vickers E for example) without a drop of oil in the oil tank), tested the Stug for 15 Minutes without oil and the engine did not disintegrate.

Also the liquid level while pouring is no longer shown on some tanks (Tiger II for example).

KV1 - needs no oil and fuel to run the engine, only coolant needs to be filled or the game complains.

Hellcat and Wolverine too. Seems to be a general bug with all tanks.
