M18 Hellcat engine cannot be completed
The parts ghosted in the screenshot below cannot be highlighted, and thus cannot be installed. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2748658266
I've tried:
- selecting one part to go to focused mode, panning the camera all around, even underneath
- switching to invisible mode
- switching the engine to the other engine stand
- selling those piston arms and re-buying them
- threats
- disassembling ALL other parts on the engine and re-assembling
- swearing profusely
- sending the remaining engine parts for outsourced repair to see if having them finished would let me install them
- bribery
- multiple saves and reloads, as well as restarting the game
- reinstalling the engine in the tank and accessing the parts
- pleading
- buying another full set of the parts not yet installed
- getting mad
- giving the engine a dirty look
- curling up under my desk and sobbing uncontrollably in a fetal position

I officially give up, and I'm gonna go ahead and for the first time sell an incomplete tank. I'd keep it in storage until a hotfix is put out, but but since we have 27 spots for tanks and there's now 26 tanks in the game, there's literally no room.

You can purchase the Tank Warehouse expansion up to 100 times. It is not super clear at first you can do this but it will give you a lot more room to hold your tanks.

Tonight's patch fixed my hellcat's pistons, but now I can't place its fuel pump hose lmao

After the latest hotfix I started work on a fresh M18... positive side of the hotfix: I can remove the steering rods now easily... negative side: I can't remove the piston rods and piston bolts because none of them can get selected :P

I have the same problem with the pin for one piston rod. It cannot be mounted. In general, the Hellcat is probably the most buggy tank I've seen in my 125 hours of play.

Found my first M18 as a tank number 55 or so and well.. can't get the pins off or on the engine block because anything to the core of the engine is unselectable. It's also difficult to work the shafts as those can only be selected from the very tip.

Please check my workaround solution for M18 Hellcat from the following thread
In short, currently, we need to work from unexpected direction ( like turn 90 degree , or from inside out ) to mount the components.
