any intent to change it up?
I love the concept, but it all starts to feel real samey on the same tank.
Derust: Point at a spot and hold the mouse button.
Sand: Point at a spot and hold the mouse button.
Primer: Point at a spot and hold the mouse button.
Paint: Point at a spot and hold the mouse button.
Is there no way to change it around? Upgrades that makes primer/paint the same thing? have sanding be a mini game on a part which magically sands any part next to it?

Like yeah you click to sand an object like a wheel and suddenly a window pops up. Then you can sand it like you were spraying paint in a paint program.

We can try to add some kind of upgrade that will connect priming and painting to one single renovation step - this would be part of the easy/hard mode that we plan.

The second suggestion - we already tried long ago to have such system but it would be really impossible to quickly renovate an assembled tank. This suggestion is possible if and when we add possibility to work on single parts on some separate table/room so this has to wait a bit :(

You can use the grinder to derust, which you should be able to use the grinder for sanding as well.

But how is that different than just standing there and switching tools? if the grinder did both at the same time then that would be something. how about it does one and then the other at double speed? that would be a great upgrade.

Ooo ooo ooo! I've been burning to voice on this one.
Ok, so this game is an awesome casual game, but like @YukoValis said, needs more right?
So I'm down with the extraction stuff. Washing the finds, getting them on the vehicle; cool. One thing on that would being able to wash it more when the tank is pulled out. Sure it's there on the truck, but you can't walk on the trailer to get the rest (for the picky). Maybe throw in a bonus for completely clean.
Haven't played with the drone yet, but otherwise a fix for the shovel's detection of dirt. Hit's "metal" and won't dig. Annoying when trying to blast more off the tank in the ground. Would be neat to get a bonus for digging most of it out too. More work you do yourself, the more you save.
At the shop though it's pretty much as it was said, a simple and dragging rinse and repeat.
It's pretty easy to just walk around blasting at the tank and getting things you cant see or that don't make sense to be hitting.
Personally, I started taking the whole tank apart thinking it was going to be that involved.
So how about it?
- The tank comes rusted as hell, so take all the parts off to get at everything properly. Didn't make sense I can completely restore a tank without disassembling much. (Biggest personal gripe)
- Each part would have a limited condition since no part could be fully restored to 100%, but the closer you get, the better. Metal would have pitting that needs filling and what not.
- Have a cart say for engine diagnosis like compression, spark plug/battery test, or whatever else it might involve.
- Have a space with the welder to fill in some holes, maybe repair cracks; some welding type stuff. You already have a welder, and the crafting room for it. Throw in a rig for that and step whatever done.
- Stick an air hose here and there and connect up where you need.
- Have expanded/different methods of de-rusting and sanding parts like a sonic bath or sand blasting basin.
- Priming/Painting should have to be done in the painting room. All the stuff that's already there is cool. Some of the on screen controls don't seem to do anything though. Few other rooms to. Notably "C to change camera" in the decorating menus.
I haven't played with the driving/shooting much (other than extractions).
From what I have done though, it would be nice if it were worked on. Brakes are finicky.
More lights around the shop. On adjustable stands would be cool. Pick on up, aim it where you want, then hit a button to spawn a stand to hold it there.
Otherwise that's all I have. It's cool that you can just buy a heap in the yard and there's scrap to pick up. Does seem a little easy to get like that, but whatevs. Excellent game I hope to see become better than it is now.
