RIDICUOUSLY weak offroad vehicle
Hello.
This is one of the situations I found myself in today:

In this situation I can't reverse onto the road again. As anyone can see, I've just slightly gone off road in an offroad vehicle. It's clearance is more than enough, so it doesn't hang on it's undercarriage, as can be the case on some roads in this game.

This vehicle also accelerates like snails on freshly spilled superglue. Can't it be made to have more torque? It's ridiculous how an offroad vehicle can't go even over the kerb...

I didn't mention speed in any part of my post. It requires more power to at least reverse onto the road. Not speed.

the jeeps of ww2 were capable of going 55 miles per hour...
and i'd like to think the same jeep that tows fully loaded down howitzers would have the torque to lift itself up off a TINY ledge,
give vehicles of the time more credit, man.

but yeah, OP is right, the jeep depicted in this game is pitifully slow and lacks any sort of meaningful torque.

maybe it has pedal Drive, because so is the behavior from the Offroad Vehicle.

2 manufacturers of the WW2 Jeep, Willys MB and Ford GPW
Max speed 55 - 65 mph (105 km/h) with a 4 wheel drive.
Jeeps were originally designed to replace horses, to scout where other vehicles couldn't.
But don't take my word for it, here's some footage with some lovely WW2 narration :laughing_yeti:

Yeah, if they were designed to replace horses, you'd think they'd have at least 1 horsepower.

As bad as that is, it's still way better than the quad. The quad frequently get stuck on the side of the road, either because it can't drive its way up it (the jeep atleast manages that most of the time), it gets left floating in the air because the wheels won't contact the ground anymore or simply because any little bump makes it go flying and it becomes a constant flip hazard. Terrible to drive.
