there is a circled area on the map. I go all over it with the metal detector, nothing, nada.
spent all my money trying to dig up areas in there, nothing.
please give me a hint
now im doing a m26 pershing. ive removed all the rust i can find but the tutorial keeps telling me to pick up the rust tool.
wtf
Rust can hide in the most annoying of places. Mouse over the tank and hit P on your keyboard. The Tank Analysis screen is your friend. Use it.
click any of the low percentage numbers, look for anything that has a rusted square next to it.
im on an m10 wolverine.
i got rid of all the rust and primed it then it tells me to get the rust tool again and it says to repair parts. i cant tell what part still has rust.
I see a "Pin A" has a low % complete rate but when I select it Im in the middle of the tank and cant see the darn thing! help!
Yeah the tutorial is a tad terrible.
The process is:
1. Remove rust.
2. Sandblast to make a nice metal finish.
3. Spray stuff with primer.
4. Spray it down with paint.
Done.
If you hit E you enter a colour chart mode. Dark red needs de-rusting. Red needs sandblasting. Yellow needs primer. And blue needs paint. Green is 100%
Note: Not all items can be fixed by you. Mainly engine belts and crap. You have to send that off to the fixed. Or buy a replacement.
Also: To get to some areas you need to pick the tank apart.
If you click on a part in the Tank Analysis menu and you get put in the middle of a tank, you can use WSAD to move the camera around to get a general idea of where the problem is.
You can also hit the I key to make most of the tank invisible to see the inside.
thank you sir.
My pleasure. Also use the seats to your advantage. By mousing over the tank and hitting R you can get a Get Inside option, with spots for a gunner, driver, loader, assistant, and commander. (Seats may vary.) You can use your tools in these spots and that makes it loads easier.
