Do NOT take your Maus to the proving grounds (unless already saved)
TL;DR: Switching to the gunner's sight in the Maus, on the proving grounds, will lock up the game and force a hard restart. Thus if you have not saved your oversized rodent, it will be lost to digital gods.

Today I made the mistake of taking my freshly acquired (through extraction) and renovated Maus to the proving grounds. Having only done driving tests previously, the PG was new, but seemed intuitive. I parked my big baby on the mound to send some pain downrange, switched to the gunner position, and clicked on the gunner's sight. This stuck me in a flashing black screen that only showed the UI items. I could switch ammo, and I heard clicking sound from the game when I right clicked, but mousewheel and Esc were completely unresponsive. I tried all the hot keys, and got no improvement. Without any other apparent option, I hit the almighty Alt-F4.

To my dismay, an autosave had not occurred, and my beloved beastie was gone forever. It stung a little extra hard, since I had spent an hour figuring out that behemoth of a turret, and that massive V-12, of the rust bucket I had pulled out o the mud.

I wouldn't call that game-breaking, but that really sucked.

Please fix.

Hi

Thanks for reporting it. We are aware of this problem, we are working on it to fix that since hotfix #2. What also bothers me is the lack of autosave. The game should save every time you change rooms, which is when you enter the test drive. We will check this one more time.

Also, please send us the outputlog.txt file, it should be located:

C:\Users\XXX\AppData\LocalLow\DeGenerals

Our mail is: support@degenerals.com

Sorry for that.

Thank you for the response. I just emailed the requested file.

Fortunately RNGesus granted me another Maus. Saved, and sitting pretty in my museum.

Cheers
