Yea, my thing is it can take a painfully long time to rehearse a song up until that 500K point, I also wasn't really seeing much (if any) improvement between rehearsing in the first studio and the next closest one (which is probably a dozen or more cities up the chain). This is particularly noticeable when you can only rehearse a few times a week and the rest is either spent busking to get cash for salary 'n such or small-change gigs (Which, in the end, busking will generate WAY more cash 'n fanbase)
I get wanting to space that out but I would reason that if my band has the cash to front for a record deal, we can probably afford at least a marginally better recording studio.
My advice? I know some indie studios have done a 'beta' version, might try releasing these ideas as a test-fire as a beta version (which players can opt into) and encourage feedback.
Edit: I'm no dev, I'm a gamer, I've been gaming since as far back as Zork when I was barely out've my diapers. I enlisted straight out of highschool so I have precisely 0 idea of how much effort it takes you guys to implement these kinds of things other than that it takes a great deal of skill that is not my forte. That being said, running a beta version people can opt into to help out with feedback before you patch would probably help a LOT with finding a balance.
