My suggestions so far
I've only played for 4 hours, but I have some suggestions.

1. I don't want to play guitar hero on my keyboard. I don't want to play guitar hero at all. I enjoy the other things far more. I realise that some people probably like it, so I'm not saying you should get rid of it entirely -- especially considering how well implemented it seems to be. But please give me a tycoon/sim-mode, as opposed to an action/arcade mode.

2. Tempo changes in songs. E.g. let you use 180bpm stuff as well as 80bpm stuff in the same track.

3. Zoom out on the song editor. Simple change (logically), but very very very useful for restructuring your songs.

4. Duplicate sections in the song editor. E.g. mark them, and shift + drag them places to duplicate them.

5. Mixing of songs -- see Rockband Tycoon (AKA Rock Manager) for some ideas, since that was a very cool game. I want lots and lots of feedback!

6. Varied band structure. What if I want three guitarists and no vocalist and be Godspeed You! Black Emperor? I think I should be allowed to do that. :]

7. Similar to 6 -- more exotic instruments. I realise this is a lot of work, so I'm not expecting it any time soon. It would be easier to include two guitarists than to introduce the viola, I imagine.

8. More diverse music. Similarly to 7 this will be a lot of work. But what if I wanna sound like The Jesus and Mary Chain's "Upside Down," or Jeromes Dream's "Exit 29 Collapsed As I Drove By?" That would be more fun than trying to make tacky metal stuff sound like Fugazi, which is my current solution. :P

9. More character interaction. Seriously, look at Rockband Tycoon. There's lots of cool stuff there, like sending them on holiday, buying gifts, &c.

10. Queue system. Refine skills, full speed, pause, refine skills, full speed, pause, refine... it gets old, you know?

Anyway, that's all from me for now.

I'm sure I'll have more later! But, yeah, *seriously* -- play Rockband Tyccoon if you haven't. Lots of great inspiration there. Chart Wars 3 is also potentially interesting.
