Are each volumes somewhat linked? (NO SPOILERS)

I've noticed CH.1 and CH.2 are different but like, are they somewhat linked by giving clues or something?

There is a throughline, yes, though it takes a while to get there.

For now, probably easiest to consider them as self-contained, but with later chapters occasionally offering insight and clues for earlier ones.

They are linked, eventually you will figure out how.

I heard that the last 4 are answer arcs, which I'm assuming yeah gives more clues to the earlier ones, in a respective order. e.g: CH5 the answer arc for CH1
